US Muslim Women Victory in Midterm Elections: A Victory for Secular Moderate Islam
On Wednesday 7th November 2018, both local and international mainstream media across the globe reported that two Muslim women by the name Ilhan Omar aged 37yrs and Rashida Tlaib, aged 42yrs made history for the 2nd time in America’s history to be elected to serve in the U.S. Congress. Their first history was that on 2008, Rashida Tlaib became the first Muslim woman to serve in Michigan state legislature and in 2016 Ilhan Omar became the first Somali-American in the entire nation to serve in the Minnesota state legislature (Daily Nation, 07/11/2018). The just concluded US Midterm elections were historical in two aspects in general; first, a high record number of women were elected to the House and second, Colorado elected the first openly gay man, Jared Polis as governor! (Evening Standard, 07/11/2018). Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Jared Polis are all members of the Democratic Party that was founded in 1828 in the US.
The latest history made by the two women comes after US President Donald Trump on Wednesday 27 January 2017 banned Muslims from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the country on the pretext of Making America safe from terrorism! On the hand, we have Trump’s former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn once said, “This is Islamism, it is a vicious cancer inside the body of 1.7 billion people on this planet and it has to be excised.” (CNN Politics, 23/11/2016). Furthermore, Trump’s former White House Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor to the President, Steve Bannon once called Islam “the most radical religion in the world” (BBC, 07/02/2017). The two women Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib whose origin is from Somalia and Palestine respectively; two countries that are currently embroiled in chaos whose root-cause is anchored on America’s greedy and bloody policy to meet the Jewish entity’s wish for recognition in Palestine and Somalia’s war on counter-terrorism initiatives. The policy continues to-date to cause massacres and catastrophes and contributes to desperate migrations initiatives to the US and Europe!
While America’s top political brass is uttering such venomous statements and engaging in its global outright war against “Radicalism/Terrorism/Extremism or Radicalists, Extremists or Terrorists.” However, the question is; why has it allowed these few Muslims to join and be part of their systems?! The answer is simple anyone who calls himself or herself as a Muslim and goes further to adopt the secular version of Islam widely known as the “Moderate Islam/Muslims” then automatically has become a member of the invalid secular capitalist ideology. An evil ideology that separates religion from life. Furthermore, it gives human beings authority to lay systems of life and guarantee themselves the following freedoms: freedom of belief, freedom of opinion, freedom of ownership and personal freedom. Hence, a Moderate Muslim can participate in secular initiatives and systems including taking part in democratic elections that give human beings authority to rule according to their whims and desires contrary to what was revealed by the Creator of man! At the same time anyone can become anything like a man can be a gay and a woman can be a lesbian and even be married! So this two women portray a fallacious and dangerous “success mentality” anchored on the so-called feminism and Muslims’ acknowledgement in US!
The reality is that the two Muslim women are nothing but pawns used by the US administration to dissuade Muslims across the globe that indeed America cares for Muslims and it is not her enemy! Furthermore, the US leadership is using the same tricks like her European allies in covering their evil intentions and bloody-hands in their fight against the so-called “Extreme/Radical/Terrosim Islam/Muslims” who in reality they are Muslims’ who have said NO TO SECULARIZED ISLAM! The unsecularized Muslims are always striving day and night to adhere to their pure Islam and calling for the resumption of the Islamic Way of Life via the return of their shield and mother the Khilafah on the method of the Prophet (saw).
Thinkers and especially Muslims across the world must not be victims of the evil American propaganda that aims to promote Moderate Islam/Muslims and fight both intellectually; and militarily those Muslims who do not subscribe to it and instead are calling for the replacement of the failed invalid secular capitalist ideology championed by western colonialists across the globe led by America, her allies and agent rulers! At the same time we call upon you to wholeheartedly study Islam as an alternative ideology that was capable for the past almost 14 Centuries and is capable today to solve the numerous problems and miseries caused by the unsound secular capitalist ideology and its stinking systems. Islam as an Ideology emanating from the Creator of the worlds does not provide avenues for freedoms but compels human beings to be slaves of Allah (swt) who are ever seeking the pleasure of their Creator by adhering to Halal and Haram as a measurement of all their actions unlike in secular capitalist ideology where all actions are determined by benefit/interest/loss/profit basis!
Under the Khilafah, the Muslims and especially the women will be given opportunities to realize their potential especially in their primary roles as wives, mothers and home-makers and at the same time participate in permissible acts like transactions, trade, raising opinions on political matters including accounting rulers (not ruling and legislating like in democratic secular regimes) etc. The Khilafah under a just leader ruling by the Qur’an and Sunnah will ensure that the Muslims are cultured in a specific manner to nurture them with an Islamic Identity that set Islam as the yardstick for acquiring honor and dignity and not by acquiring material possessions and interest-based-positions as championed by secular capitalist ideology!
In conclusion, our beloved Master (saw) narrated in the following Hadith:
“People who appoint a woman as their leader will never succeed”
