28th Rajab 1439 will be the 97th Anniversary of the abolishment of Khilafah. One of the great sons of this Ummah Kathim Qara Bakir, the ‘Uthmani Khilafah General, said, “I have vowed to prevent any steps undertaken with the aim of transforming the country from a Sultanate to a republic, no matter how dear the sacrifice were”. Mustafa Kamal the traitor, secularist was up against the strong words by the general and he acted tirelessly to bring into the Islamic world one of bitter realities i.e. the destruction of the Khilafah. The event took place in Istanbul in the 28th Rajab 1342 AH corresponding to 3rd March 1924 being one of the darkest events ever in the Islamic history.
Yes indeed the Abolishment of the Khilafah erupted into countless crises within the Islamic world and the world at large. The noble Ummah is now living under the yoke of corrupt capitalism and is subjected into oppressions, poverty and more terrible not ruling or implementing the Sharia of the Allah, the Creator of Universe! Our Kibla has now shifted into Washington where orders and commands are made for us. Our lands ruled by Ruwaibidha who along with their masters bring nothing other than humiliation. The Ummah is in total anarchy. The worst part is being witnessed currently in Syria the land the Prophet (saw) called ash-Sham the purest of the lands of Allah, the place where religion, belief and safety are found in times of conflict. The land, which Muslims under the leadership of Umar (ra) succeeded in the conquest of modern-day Syria and its surrounding regions. Syria is now a region in flames. The war is now more than half a decade old, as a result of the inevitable sense of oppression exerted on Muslims for more than 4 decades under a repressive Ba’athist despotic Bashar al-Assad who has inherited his father al-Hafez in committing mischievousness. America along with Russia are striking from the air, land and sea. Thousands including mothers and children have been killed. The situation in Syria has led to a refugee crisis of gargantuan proportions, not witnessed since World War 2.
It is indeed the absence of Khilafah that images of poverty, starvation, famine and more sadly the civil war are seen as symbol of Africa. Since the scramble for Africa in the 20th century for the continent’s vast minerals and resources by the European colonialists, the rich continent was carved up to act as mere supply lines for their attempts at Empire. Ironically, Donald Trump called Africa as s***hole countries. Under capitalism, Africa today is far cry from where it was. A quick look at Africa’s history under the Khilafah, though not the whole of Africa was ruled by Khilafah but some parts of the Continent were conquered by the Khilafah. By the mid of the 6th century to 7th for example, North Africa had already been conquered by the Khilafah thus many major cities such Tripoli, Libya and Tunis, Tunisia were controlled by Muslims. All these were collectively known as the Byzantine province of Africa. To the Eastern Africa, the light of Khilafah was seen during the Khilafah of Abdul Malik ibn Marwan, parts of modern-day Somalia including Mogadishu, came under the shade of the Islamic State. This contributed to the spread of Islam in some of the coastal cities such as Mombasa, Dar es-salaam, Zanzibar, Kilwa and Mozambique.
The abolishment of the Khilafah meant untying the folds of Islam.
Abu Umamata Al-Baahili narrated that the Prophet (saw) said:
«ليُنْقَضَنَّ عُرَى الْإِسْلَامِ عُرْوَةً عُرْوَةً فَكُلَّمَا انْتَقَضَتْ عُرْوَةٌ تَشَبَّثَ النَّاسُ بِالَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَأَوَّلُهُنَّ نَقْضًا الْحُكْمُ وَآخِرُهُنَّ الصَّلَاةُ» “The knots of Islam will be undone one by one, each time a knot is undone the next one will be grasped, the first to be undone will be the Ruling and the last will be Prayer” (Reported by Hakim and Ahmed)
Yes indeed the presence of Khilafah made the knots of Islam strongly tied. No innocent blood would be spilled.
Counting the disasters after the destruction of Khilafah will not cease likewise remembering its destruction should not be taken as a funeral but rather a catalyst to redouble the Ummah’s efforts to work for its re-establishment. The call for Khilafah is now felt in the veins of Muslims around the globe. The West are re-energizing their efforts to prevent its re-establishment. They have fully employed their agents in the Muslim world to prevent the return of the Khilafah. They ought to know Islam is Khilafah and Khilafah is Islam, which Allah (swt) has promised to His believers.
“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.” [Nur: 55]
Yes, Khilafah is a promise of Allah (swt) that is coming very soon and no one can stop it. We ask Allah (swt) in this sacred month of Rajab where we remember the painful and tragic event of destruction of the Khilafah to grant us more energy to work for its re-establishment, Bi’ithnillah.
