Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier in Kenya

Press Statement

إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ﴿

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

With firm conviction and full submission to Allah’s (swt) destiny, Hizb ut Tahrir / Kenya mourns to the Islamic Ummah generally and the people of Kenya specifically;

Ustadh Said Salim Ali

(May Allah have mercy on him) who passed away on Thursday, 14th of March 2024, after being attacked by thugs.

As an Ustadh and Imam, Ustadh Said joined Hizb ut Tahrir – a global ideological Islamic party that carries the noble call of resuming the Islamic life through re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophet (saw).  Although, and we do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah (swt), we bear witness that he was fulfilling his commitment to the Da’awa,

Indeed our hearts grieve, our eyes tear for this great loss of our father and brother, O Allah, have mercy upon him and forgive him. O Allah, make honorable his reception, and expand his entry.

Finally, we would like to send our warmest and sincere condolences to his family asking Almighty Allah (swt) to reward them greatly, and grant them patience, fortitude and comfort. We ask Allah to exchange his home for a better abode, and his family for a better family, and gather us and him under the banner of the Prophet (saw) on the Day of Resurrection.
