Press Statement

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient. Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [Al-Baqara: 155 -156]

With conviction and submission to Allah’s (swt) destiny and fate, Hizb ut Tahrir Kenya mourns to the Islamic Ummah generally, and the people of Kenya specifically,

Abdallah Ismail (May Allah have mercy on him)

He was one of the courageous members of Hizb ut Tahrir carrying the noble call of resuming the Islamic life through re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophet (saw); we do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah (swt). Our brother Abdallah Ismail passed away on Sunday evening 8 April 2018 after a short illness.

Indeed, there are genuine men who die but their steadfastness and actions remain like a compass and light for those who come after them.

We offer our warmest and sincere condolences to his family asking Almighty Allah (swt), to reward them greatly, and grant them patience, fortitude and comfort. For us we do not say except what pleases our Lord: Inna lillah wa ina ilaihi raji’oon.

Indeed our hearts are grieved our eyes tears for losing our brother, O Allah, have mercy upon him and forgive him. O Allah, make honorable his reception, and expand his entry. O Allah, exchange his home for a better abode, and his family for a better family, and gather us and him under the banner of the Prophet (saw) on the Day of Resurrection.
