Circle 3: The Structure of the Companions (ra)
The Prophet (saw) started the da’wah by first conveying to those whom their acceptance of the da’wah was obvious to him regardless of their age, status, gender or race.
Rasulullah (saw) used to culture all those who accepted Islam with shari’ah rules and made them memorize the Qur’an, to the extent that the number of the companions (ra) from the time he was ordained Prophethood to when Allah(swt) ordered him to openly proclaim the da’wah had reached approximately forty individuals majority of them being youths:
- Ally Ibn Abiy Twalib – 8 years
- Zubeyr Ibn Awwam – 8 years
- Twalha Ibn Ubaydillah – 11 years
- Arqam Ibn Abiy Al-arqam – 12 years
- Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud – 14 years
- Saeed Ibn Zubyr – under 20 years
- Saa’d Ibn Abiy Waqqas – 17 years
- Suu’d Ibn Rabia’h – 17 years
- Jaa’far Ibn Abiy Twalib – 18 years
- Suhayb Ruumiy – under 20 years
- Zaydu Ibn Harithah – about 20 years
- Uthman Ibn Affan – about 20 years
- Tulayb Ibn Umayr – about 20 years
- Khabab Ibn Aratti – about 20 years
- Aamir Ibn Fuhayra – 23 years
- Mus’ab Ibn Umayr – 24 years
- Miqdad Ibn Aswad – 24 years
- Abdullah Ibn Jahsh – 25 years
- Umar Ibn Khatwab – 26 years
- Abu Ubaydata Ibn Jaraah – 27 years
- Utbata Ibn Ghazawan – 27 years
- Abu Hudhayfata Ibn Utbah – about 30 years
- Bilal Ibn Rabaah – about 30 years
- Ayyash Ibn Rabia’h – about 30 years
- Aamir Ibn Rabia’h – about 30 years
- Nua’ym Ibn Abdillah – about 30 years
